Now that GO0DMAN is reaching its “adolescence” is really time to start testing in real industrial scenarios what has been developed so far. This applies to the Smart Inspection Tools (WP3) as well.
For this reason, a team from Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM) and from Loccioni went to Pordenone to test their Quality Control Systems on the Electrolux assembly line:
- portable gap&flush inspector
- vibrational test
- ultrasonic leak detector
- visual recognition
During the two days, 31st of May and 1st of June 2018, UNIVPM and Loccioni teams performed different tests to check the metrological performances (e.g. uncertainty and repeatability) and the reliability of the tools in a real industrial scenario. This activity made it possible to identify strengths and weaknesses of the systems, and represents a first step towards their implementation in the assembly line (WP5).
In addition to the tests, on the first day, UNIVPM, Loccioni and Electrolux teams had also a technical meeting to discuss the interface of the tools with the production line and the operators.
The measurement campaign was important to collect useful data that are currently under processing at UNIVPM and Loccioni.
